GACE Level I Certification of Recognition Application 2026

The purpose of the GACE Level 1 Recognition is to provide a seal of certification that recognizes training equivalencies in accordance with Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia. 

OCGA 16-5-19(1) “Code enforcement official” means any person with a high school diploma or equivalent who has completed Level 1 code enforcement training under a professional program and is employed by or under contract with a municipality, city, county, or consolidated government who performs safety inspections of buildings, structures, businesses, or real property to ensure they are operated in accordance with the law.

Active Members of the Georgia Association of Code Enforcement may receive the GACE LEVEL I Certification of Training Seal upon submitting transcripts and/or certificates related to the field of code enforcement. GACE will recognize active members who submit 21hrs of training records.

Please provide proof of GACE approved training: Attendance Records, Test Scores,Transcripts. If you are submitting continuing education units please upload attendance records, test scores, of approved curriculum within two weeks of expiration of current certification.  Attachments are required.
